As lead programmer on a team of 10, I helped a group of classroom peers create an FPS! We all worked hard to make a finished game together with 6 levels, 6 bosses, 4 weapons, numerous enemy types, and lots of sound and music. Communication was key!

Over a summer, me and a team of 6 create Booty Traps. Under the lead of Steven Goodale, I helped programming and design for this Augmented Reality cellphone game where you dodge virtual traps that appear, through your cellphone screen, as though they were in the real world!

I scripted this game through the end of my Fall Semester, having many people in the school lab play it.
While I never got to perfect the level design, I became very happy with the feeling of the player.

This short game was created in a week using Unity. I'm proud of it! It was great to explore how such a simple game necessitated a lot of mind bending mechanics for game-feel purposes.

I taught a team of four teenage girls how to use Unity from scratch, and they returned with a home run of a game. They did all of their own art, music, and scripting, and getting them there required teaching C#, time management, core loops, narrative themes, and so much more.

I couldn't have had more fun. Their game won the GMG 2017 demo day competition again 35 other (amazing) teams, and it will be available on steam soon!

I'm a game designer/scripter who's always working hard on something! When working with others dream projects I put myself to the grindstone to build robust systems, using the abundant materials and tutorials to grow my encyclopedia of design choices and scripting structures.
When I'm working alone, I almost always want to challenge myself to create an idea there may not be any tutorials for! I push to find creative solutions to game play problems exploring.
